About Takotna Community School

Takotna Community School is a small K-12 school located in the remote village of Takotna, Alaska. The school serves the local community of about 60 people, mostly of Yup’ik Eskimo heritage. The school is the only educational institution in the area and is the hub of the community.
The school offers a wide range of educational opportunities for its students, including core academic classes, as well as art, music, and physical education. The school also provides a variety of extracurricular activities, such as basketball, volleyball, and baseball.
The school is well-known for its commitment to the community.
