About California Military Institute

The California Military Institute (CMI) is a public military academy located in Los Alamitos, California. Established in 1891, CMI is the oldest military academy in the western United States. The Institute is part of the California State Military Reserve, and is dedicated to providing quality education and training to its cadets.
CMI offers a variety of courses, from basic military training to advanced tactical instruction. The Institute also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs, and social events. In addition, CMI offers an array of leadership opportunities, such as the Cadet Corps and the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC).
CMI is a great choice for students interested in a military career. The Institute provides a rigorous academic program and comprehensive military training, while also offering a variety of extracurricular activities. In addition, the Institute has a strong sense of community and camaraderie, making it an ideal place to learn and grow.
