Sharon Christa McAuliffe Middle School is a public school located in the city of Houston, Texas. The school was established in 1995 and is part of the Houston Independent School District. It is named in honor of the late astronaut and teacher, Sharon Christa McAuliffe, who tragically died in the Challenger space shuttle disaster in 1986.
